USCHI DIGARD
(and often spelled Digart).
Though most of her fans believe she was born in Scandinavia, Uschi was actully born in Bismark, North Dakota!!!
on 15 Aug. 1948, and later raised in Sweden. She became a translator
and learned 9 languages before turning to modeling. Legend has it that
Russ Meyer saw one of her layouts and went gaga. She later appeared
in his film HARRY, CHERRY, & RAQUEL and
also SUPERVIXENS . Meyer was so
impressed with her that he soon made her a production assistant. He called
her his "Watusi Gun Bearer" because of her reliability and the fact that
there was no hardship that she wouldn't endure when working on his films.(By the way,
she also did a stint as a sex advice columnist for GENT Magazine -
see the last photo # 37 ). She appeared in numerous
men's magazines and sexploitation films of the
70's including quite a few appearances with good buddy Candy Samples (photo #20) and retired in the early 80's. Here is just a small sample of her photo output.
