Roxy's modeling career apparently ended in 1980, ten years after she first graced the pages of men's
magazines. Her last photo shoot was featured in the January 1980 issue of GENT:
Roxanne's Farewell Pictorial-The Retiring Type"To quote some of the article... "Nobody could say that incredible Roxanne was shy, but she is retiring...it's a sad time for fans everywhere because a gal like Roxanne isa rare find indeed. We've featured her in GENT may times and the response from fans has always beentremendous...Another segment of the populace who'll miss Roxanne are her legion of fans who packed the burlesque houses where Roxanne appeared. (She) had an act that would knock your eyes out...especiallyif you were standing too close to the stage!...We sure hate to see this fiery bundle of shakin', movin', undulating talent go the way of the great retirees of the show biz world.So long Roxanne.We hope you'll change your mind...if you do we'll be waiting, for sure".
Photo numbers, 46,47,48 at the end of this Gallery (as well as the large photo above) come from this last known session. Photo numbers 42 to 45 may also come from this time period; the bed setting looks the same and though she's wearing different lingerie (or not wearing it), and has two necklaces instead of one,the smaller chain with the tiny silver figure is the same for both sessions.(Unfortunately the quality for some of these is pretty poor, but I'll keep my eyes open for better copies).
Though there might not be any more new Roxy photos, I'll keep adding newly discovered photos (at least new to me) as I come across them, especially those sent it by Roxy fans, such as the gorgeous #39 send in by Roxy fan Leonard .
And how about an believably focused mechanic in picture #1 . Talk about
Mr. GoodWrench!" And pictures # 3 & 4 are rare photos from a shoot Roxy did on the hood of a car.Though the pictures aren't of the best color quality, I wish I could find more of this very sexy session.
