As far as I can tell, Roxanne started her modeling career in 1971,most probably with her appearance in the summer SUPER issue of DAPPER.
I haven't been able to find any other photos in any
magazines from an earlier date. She was born in 1941 so
this would have placed her agewise in her
late 20's or perhaps 30 (though she looks younger).The pictures on
this page are the earliest ones I've been able to find. I included
the b/w photo on the left as a way of featuring the start of her career,
(her first day on the job in a way).If I had to guess, I'd say photos 1thru7 may very well be her first photo shoot. The setting, a pool table, is a bit awkward as are the poses, and the quality isn't the best.
The sequence of pictures, 10 through 20, shows her to much better effect, featuring her as a new "eager" secretary.
She also did an intriging series dressed only in long black gloves and a vieled hat, photos 34-37.
The last two photos 41 & 42,to me, show how really pretty a woman she was. And I'm really glad I've got the chance to share my appreciation of this woman with you fellow Roxy-ites!
