She is however in Hand of Pleasure, a 1971 ultra-cheapie.
A big thanks to Roxy fan Roy C. who gave me the heads-up on this one:
"She does her famous wet bathtub routine after a steamy strip-dance in front of the tub (in a small dive/strip theatre
in London, before an all-male audience of 8 or 10) She begins in a low cut floor-length gown,
and finishes by peeling off her G string before stepping into the tub. Her bathing scenes are
very similar to the bath she took in the Big Bust Babes video."
The entire scene runs about 8 minutes and Roxy doesn't appear in the rest of the movie (something to
do with spies being sexed to death by two women under the control of a Dr. Dreadful). The film is
strictly low-budget, poorly acted, filled out with travelog footage of London, and makes Ed Wood
look like Orson Welles. But those glorious 8 minutes of Roxy (in the first quarter of the film)
makes this a must-see for her fans. And for a sample clip, click on the "Hand of
Pleasure" video box.
And thanks to a sharp-eyed Roxy fan
J. S. of Huntington Beach who found this film-still (below) in a movie book ("Sexy Cinema"),
we were able to discover another Roxy film called The Young Secretaries .
However this one has proved hard to find and may be unavailable on tape.

It was made in
1974 and also stars Sharon Kelly. It was apparently released on tape
by a company called Playaround Video, which appears was a British organization. The only trace of the movie so far is that it was advertised
in a trailer from Video Screams, for the Uschi flick "CB Hustlers". When Roxy fan J.S
contaced Video Screams about it he was informed it had arrived, with some other tapes,
in a box from Australia! And that's where the search ends for now. (Kind of like
looking for "The Maltese Falcon"!) So it appears the film may have been released on
tape only overseas, in England or Australia. Any Roxy fans in either of those two countries
may want to keep their eyes open for it. It may even be under a different title.
I've looked at various search engines and sites like Something Weird Video to try and find a
copy, but no luck as yet. So far it's the great Roxy Mystery Movie!

But thanks to another terrific Roxy fan,
Reuben M from New York way, we now have a poster of this elusive film.
And a big debt of gratitude goes to him for sharing this collectable with us. As he wrote:
"I own an original poster of The Young Secretaries, and the following information may
be helpful. It is a Fimmakers Co. picture produced by Ted Paramore and Murray Perlstein,
written/directed by Richard Kanter. It stars John Bernum, Sharon Kelly, Jan Michell,
and introducing Roxanne Brewer...I bought the poster years ago at a Glamourcon Convention
when it was held in New Jersey and it's in mint condition; I don't recall the dealer.
...There are four horizontal pictures on the poster, and the bottom one I assume is
Roxy since her head is turned away but the fellow being seduced by her is the same one
in your ROX ON FILM still."
I plan on sending
this on to Video Screams & Something Weird to see if this can help either company track
down a master print of the movie. Keep four fingers crossed.
And in case you can't make out the fine print it says:
She's also seen briefly in FANTASM (1976) a sex comedy from
Australia! (In the cast list she goes by the name of Sue Doloria). It's a series of ten segments detailing
women's "fantasies".Roxy is in the final episode wherein she images herself as a bored school girl being
kept after class by her elderly stuffy teacher.
The segment only lasts about 5 minutes but again it shows her to
good comic advantage as she takes her revenge on the teacher by teasing with her...
well...the stills below will give you an idea.
In 1976 she appeared as the lead in a misbegotten Western called
A FISTFULL OF 44'S. So far, this seems to be the nadir of her film appearances.
Except for Roxy the film is veritably unwatchable. It's cheap, technically inept,
the 'acting' is non-existant, and it's veeerrry slow in parts. The "plot" has to do with three
outlaws who stumble upon three bickering women heading west in a covered
wagon, escorted by a cowboy (our nominal hero). The outlaws set about to assault
and humiliate the women while the "hero" basically stands around not caring too much. That's it.
It's nasty and brutal.

Roxy has two worthwhile scenes; in the first she stops an Indian attack in it's tracks
by showing off her "Roxy Mountains". It's one of the few humorous moments in the picture.
The other is unfortunately marred by skips and scratches in the master print
(the only one available apparently), but it's the best sequence in the film; Roxy
and one of the other women go skinny dipping, and afterwards begin bathing each
other. (Another example of Roxy's stage act?) It could have been the centerpiece
of the film but it gets cut off after only a few minutes. What a mistake!

At the end...if you don't want to know, skip the rest of this paragraph now......
...Roxy gets killed and unceremoniously dumped against a wagon wheel, all to the
accompaniment of comical music!!! It's that kind of picture. (I hate pictures that
treat women like this). However, when you're a fan you have to take the good with
the bad.
Roxy doesn't appear anywhere on video box and neither does her name. For some
inept reason, she's listed as Cheryl Short on the back of the box, yet in the film credits
she's Roxanne Brewer! (Maybe she knew she was in a dog and tried to protect her
name).
However she does wear black hair in this film, and looks
very much like her picture to the left.
She also goes around in a full-length granny dress for most of the
film, UNLIKE the picture to the left. (Taken from our April Gallery).
And a big thank you to Roxy fan John of Huntington Beach for
letting me know aboutthis undiscovered Rox. He also had mixed feelings regarding the film
but as he noted, if you're "a Roxy completist"it's important to have.
This page is a work in progress and should anyone out there have
further sightings of Roxy on film please e-mail me and I'll be glad to include it.
